Terms of Service
Last updated: 7 October 2026
1. About These Terms
These terms apply to your use of The Red Light Co. website and purchases made through it. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy and the delivery, returns and billing information below. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights.
2. About Us / Contact
We are a UK sole trader business trading as The Red Light Co. Contact us at support@theredlightco.co.uk. Our business and returns address is:
Trading as The Red Light Co.
189, 3 Riverlight Quay
London SW11 8BF
United Kingdom
Please email us when returning an order so we can provide instructions and identify your return. Exercising your statutory cancellation right does not require our approval.
3. Products and Information
We describe and photograph our products as accurately as reasonably possible. Screen settings may cause minor differences in displayed colour. We may update specifications where this does not materially change the product you ordered; we will not substitute materially different goods without your agreement.
4. Health and Safety Information
Our educational material about red light therapy is general information, not individual medical advice. If you have medical concerns, seek advice from an appropriate healthcare professional. Always follow the safety instructions, warnings and intended-use guidance supplied with your particular product.
5. Orders
Orders are subject to acceptance and availability. Submitting an order or receiving an automatic acknowledgement does not by itself confirm acceptance; we accept your order when we confirm that it is being processed for fulfilment or dispatched.
We may decline or cancel an order for a genuine pricing error, an availability issue, reasonably suspected fraud or another legitimate reason permitted by law. We will let you know and promptly refund any payment for goods we cannot supply. This does not limit your rights if a contract has already been formed.
6. Prices
Store prices are shown in GBP. Any taxes that must legally be included are included in the price presented to you. Free UK Delivery currently applies to standard delivery. Any additional charges will be shown before you complete your purchase.
7. Payment
Available payment methods are shown at checkout. Please see our Billing Terms & Conditions for payment, verification and refund information.
8. Delivery
We currently deliver to UK addresses only. Allow 1 working day for order processing, followed by an estimated 3–5 working days for standard delivery after dispatch. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding UK bank holidays. Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. See Shipping for tracking and help with delays.
9. Cancellation, Returns and Refunds
We offer 30-Day Returns alongside your statutory cancellation rights. Our Returns & Refunds section explains how to request a return, return postage and refund timing. Your legal rights remain unaffected.
10. Warranty and Faulty Goods
Our devices have a 1-Year Warranty against manufacturing defects from delivery. See Returns & Refunds for cover and claims. Your statutory rights for faulty, misdescribed or unfit goods are separate from and additional to this warranty.
11. Website Use
Please use this website lawfully. You must not use it for fraud, introduce malicious code, attempt unauthorised access or interfere with the website or its security.
12. Intellectual Property
The Red Light Co.’s branding, original site content, graphics and other protected materials belong to us or our licensors. You may not reproduce or use them without permission, except where permitted by law.
13. Liability
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Your statutory consumer rights remain protected.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms and will show the revised date above. The version in force when you place your order generally applies to that purchase, unless a change is required by law or you agree otherwise.
15. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You retain any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live and any right to bring a claim in your local courts, including in Scotland or Northern Ireland where applicable.
16. Contact
For questions about these terms or your order, email support@theredlightco.co.uk.

How We Disclose Personal Information
In certain circumstances, we may disclose your personal information to third parties for legitimate purposes subject to this Privacy Policy. Such circumstances may include:
- With Shopify, vendors and other third parties who perform services on our behalf (e.g. IT management, payment processing, data analytics, customer support, cloud storage, fulfillment and shipping).
- With business and marketing partners to provide marketing services and advertise to you. For example, we use Shopify to support personalized advertising with third-party services based on your online activity with different merchants and websites. Our business and marketing partners will use your information in accordance with their own privacy notices. Relationship with Shopify
The Services are hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the Services in order to provide and improve the Services for you. Information you submit to the Services will be transmitted to and shared with Shopify as well as third parties that may be located in countries other than where you reside, in order to provide and improve our Services for you. In addition, to help protect, grow, and improve our business, we use certain Shopify enhanced features that incorporate data and information obtained from your interactions with our Store, along with other merchants and with Shopify. To provide these enhanced features, Shopify may make use of personal information collected about your interactions with our store, along with other merchants, and with Shopify. In these circumstances, Shopify is responsible for the processing of your personal information, including for responding to your requests to exercise your rights over use of your personal information for these purposes. To learn more about how Shopify uses your personal information and any rights you may have, you can visit the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy. Depending on where you live, you may exercise certain rights with respect to your personal information here Shopify Privacy Portal Link.

The Services may provide links to websites or other online platforms operated by third parties. If you follow links to sites not affiliated or controlled by us, you should review their privacy and security policies and other terms and conditions. We do not guarantee and are not responsible for the privacy or security of such sites, including the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of information found on these sites. Information you provide on public or semi-public venues, including information you share on third-party social networking platforms may also be viewable by other users of the Services and/or users of those third-party platforms without limitation as to its use by us or by a third party. Our inclusion of such links does not, by itself, imply any endorsement of the content on such platforms or of their owners or operators, except as disclosed on the Services.
Children's Data
The Services are not intended to be used by children, and we do not knowingly collect any personal information about children under the age of majority in your jurisdiction. If you are the parent or guardian of a child who has provided us with their personal information, you may contact us using the contact details set out below to request that it be deleted. As of the Effective Date of this Privacy Policy, we do not have actual knowledge that we "share" or "sell" (as those terms are defined in applicable law) personal information of individuals under 16 years of age.
Security and Retention of Your Information
Please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee "perfect security." In addition, any information you send to us may not be secure while in transit. We recommend that you do not use unsecure channels to communicate sensitive or confidential information to us.
How long we retain your personal information depends on different factors, such as whether we need the information to maintain your account, to provide you with Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes or enforce other applicable contracts and policies.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the rights listed below in relation to your personal information. However, these rights are not absolute, may apply only in certain circumstances and, in certain cases, we may decline your request as permitted by law.
- Right to Access / Know. You may have a right to request access to personal information that we hold about you.
- Right to Delete. You may have a right to request that we delete personal information we maintain about you.
- Right to Correct. You may have a right to request that we correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
- Right of Portability. You may have a right to receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you and to request that we transfer it to a third party, in certain circumstances and with certain exceptions.
- Managing Communication Preferences. We may send you promotional emails, and you may opt out of receiving these at any time by using the unsubscribe option displayed in our emails to you. If you opt out, we may still send you non-promotional emails, such as those about your account or orders that you have made.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. We may need to verify your identity before we can process your requests, as permitted or required under applicable law. In accordance with applicable laws, you may designate an authorized agent to make requests on your behalf to exercise your rights. Before accepting such a request from an agent, we will require that the agent provide proof you have authorized them to act on your behalf, and we may need you to verify your identity directly with us. We will respond to your request in a timely manner as required under applicable law.
Complaints
If you have complaints about how we process your personal information, please contact us using the contact details provided below. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to appeal our decision by contacting us using the contact details set out below, or lodge your complaint with your local data protection authority. For the EEA, you can find a list of the responsible data protection supervisory authorities here.
If you are in the UK, you may have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). We encourage you to contact us first at support@theredlightco.co.uk so we can try to resolve your concern. This does not prevent you from contacting the ICO.
International Transfers
Please note that we may transfer, store and process your personal information outside the country you live in.
If we transfer your personal information out of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we will rely on recognized transfer mechanisms like the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or any equivalent contracts issued by the relevant competent authority of the UK, as relevant, unless the data transfer is to a country that has been determined to provide an adequate level of protection.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will post the revised Privacy Policy on this website, update the "Last updated" date and provide notice as required by applicable law.

Returns & Refunds
Last updated: 7 October 2026
30-Day Returns
You may request a change-of-mind return within 30 days of delivery. For requests made after the statutory 14-day cancellation period, our additional voluntary offer applies to items that are unopened, unused and undamaged, with their original packaging, accessories and manuals. Tell us within 30 days of delivery and send the item back within 14 days of your request. These conditions do not restrict your statutory cancellation rights or rights for faulty goods.
To begin a return, email support@theredlightco.co.uk with your order number or other details that help us identify your purchase. You do not need to give a reason when exercising your statutory cancellation right.
Return Address
Trading as The Red Light Co.
189, 3 Riverlight Quay
London SW11 8BF
United Kingdom
Please email us when returning an order so we can provide instructions and identify your return. You do not need our approval to exercise your statutory cancellation right.
For ordinary change-of-mind returns, you are responsible for return postage unless we agree otherwise. If an item is faulty, damaged on arrival, incorrectly supplied or not as described, we will provide an appropriate remedy and cover reasonable return costs where required by law.
Your Statutory Right to Cancel
UK customers buying online normally have the right to cancel qualifying purchases without giving a reason within 14 days after delivery. Tell us clearly that you wish to cancel; an email is sufficient. You then normally have a further 14 days to send the goods back. This legal right exists alongside our 30-day returns policy and does not depend on us approving your cancellation.
For statutory cancellations, you may open the packaging and inspect the product as you reasonably would in a shop. If handling goes beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning, we may make a legally permitted deduction for any resulting loss in value. Include the accessories, manuals and original packaging where reasonably possible; missing original packaging does not, by itself, remove your statutory rights.
Optional Cancellation Form
You may copy the form below into an email or send it by post if you wish to cancel. Using this form is optional; any clear statement that you wish to cancel is sufficient.
To: The Red Light Co., 189, 3 Riverlight Quay, London SW11 8BF, United Kingdom. Email: support@theredlightco.co.uk.
I/We [*] hereby give notice that I/we [*] cancel my/our [*] contract of sale of the following goods:
Ordered on [*]/received on [*]:
Name of consumer(s):
Address of consumer(s):
Signature of consumer(s) (only if this form is notified on paper):
Date:
[*] Delete as appropriate.
Refunds
We will notify you once we receive and check your return. Refunds for eligible returns go to the original payment method, unless we agree another method with you without charging a fee. We issue refunds without undue delay and within 14 calendar days of receiving the returned goods, subject to any earlier statutory deadline below. Your bank or payment provider may need additional time to display the refund.
For statutory cancellations, we refund without undue delay and within the legal deadline: normally within 14 calendar days of receiving the goods back or, if earlier, evidence that you sent them back. If we have offered to collect the goods, the deadline is normally 14 calendar days after you tell us you are cancelling. Checking a return will not extend a statutory refund deadline.
Where required for a statutory cancellation, we also refund the applicable standard outbound delivery cost. Any extra charge for a delivery upgrade above standard delivery is refundable only where the law requires.
Faulty or Damaged Products
UK customers have statutory rights if goods are faulty, not as described or not fit for purpose. Depending on the circumstances and timing, you may be entitled to a refund, repair or replacement. Contact support@theredlightco.co.uk with your order details and a description of the issue so we can help. These rights are separate from and additional to our voluntary warranty and are not limited to our 30-day returns window.
Where you are entitled to a refund for faulty goods, we issue it without undue delay and within 14 calendar days of agreeing that you are entitled to it. We cover reasonable return costs where required by law.
1-Year Warranty
The Red Light Co., at the return address above, provides a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects for The Red Light Co. devices delivered in the United Kingdom. The warranty runs from the date of delivery and covers defects arising during normal intended use.
The warranty does not normally cover accidental damage, misuse, neglect, unauthorised modification, improper storage, normal wear and tear, or purely cosmetic damage that does not affect function.
To make a claim, email support@theredlightco.co.uk with proof of purchase and details of the problem. Depending on the issue, we may repair or replace the device or provide another appropriate remedy. This warranty does not affect your statutory consumer rights.
